I think this song is an impressionistic view on the essence of the sounds of life and how life happens in a rhythm. ![]() The best one so far was by Sameer Nandan Bhavanibhatla : here They do a good job for breaking it down which was very helpful for me. There are many other who have tried this before me but no one really captures the song as a whole. I chose the “Essence of origin of music” because samaveda is root/origin of our Indian classical music and the essence of it is what the poet is talking about. I understand that the phrase “సామవేద సారమిది” literally translates to “give of the knowledge of song/music” but I think the poet Sirivennela Seetharamasaasthry has a deeper meaning here. So the English translation may seem different from literal translation.Īlso, some words has deeper meaning within the context than what the literal meaning is. Please note that I am capturing the essence of each line by understanding the constituent words. I’m looking for any guidance from telugu pandits/enthusiasts to help me make this translation better. Here’s my humble attempt at deciphering this gem of a song. I finally put some effort into breaking the song down and not just lookup the words but research on how they are strung together and why. But I never really understood the meaning of these beautiful lyrics. ![]() We all have been listening to Sirivennela songs all our life.
